There is more than lanterns!

In the city of Fengyang, swings play a major role. A popular saying is, "Swing on the Lantern Festival, no aches or pains the entire year." One of the festival sights in Hebei are the jǐng xíng lā huā (井陉拉花) performances. They folk dance using fans and parasol props to the beat of the drums. 

Lantern Riddles

The ancient Chinese would get together with friends and write poetry. A play on words and riddles were a favorite pastime. During the festival, people write riddles on the lanterns and get people guessing. Dragon Dance

Lion Dance

The lion dance is very popular and traditional that you may see it on events, holidays, weddings, and store openings. 

The lion is constructed with movable eyes and mouths. 

Stilts

They are an ancient act that stems from opera and performers sing and dance while wearing stilts.
